We are facing a climate crisis. Globally there is now undisputable evidence of climatic change and the consequences are being felt in all our backyards. We all as individuals have a moral responsibility to make everyday changes but businesses can have a multiplying effect. We will also be increasingly expected to address these issues by our customers, our regulators and our employees. Traditionally, many businesses have made a superficial attempt at sustainable practice, and so-called “greenwashing” was prevalent. However, our approach must shift from minimising the negative effect of our business practices on the environment to ensuring that they have a positive impact, a regenerative effect.We must seek to determine how we can make a positive impact on the environment from everything that we in our business.
